Septembers pot of the month is this beautifully painted 4”/105mm high Goss figurine of Sir John Falstaff, a fictional character from William Shakespeare’s plays. Manufactured during the factory’s Third period (1929-1939), this model also comes in both a white and coloured 6”/150mm version. “A fat, vain, and boastful knight, he spends most of his time drinking at the Boar’s Head Inn with petty criminals, living on stolen or borrowed money……”. Which probably goes a long way to explaining the cheery expression, fat belly and equally fat purse depicted on this model!
