The Goss Collectors’ Club AGM and Mini Mart will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Bridgefoot, Stratford on Avon, Warwickshire CV37 6YR, Sunday 23rd April 2023.
The Mini Mart will be open to the public at 10am, but members can gain access at 9.00am. The Mini Mart will run until 12pm, followed by the AGM at 1pm (access to the AGM is strictly members only).
Fifteen rooms have been reserved Club Members for the nights of 21st, 22nd, and 23rd April. Members’ special room rates are:
Standard King Room B&B £150 per room per night
Standard Single occupancy B&B per room per night £130
There are very few upgraded rooms which have wet rooms rather than showers. You will need to ask the hotel for the prices of these rooms.
If you would like to book be quick, as rooms are selling out fast. Allocation cut-off date is 28 days prior to the event.
Although it wasn’t chosen for this reason, this particular weekend just happens to be the weekend of Shakespeare’s birthday, something celebrated each year in Stratford with a full itinerary of parades and events. You don’t need reminding of the Goss association but there are Shakespeare and Ann Hathaway’s cottages, and Stratford Church. Of course, for those theatrically inclined there is the theatre five hundred yards away, and the hotel is right on the banks of the river with its own private verandah and lawn down to the river (swimming in the river is at your own risk!). The Club held a highly successful event here many years ago. We are sure there is more than enough to tempt nearly everyone away for a short break, on a special birthday weekend for England’s, indeed the world’s, arguably greatest writer.
