February’s Pot of the Month is this Shakespeare’s Jug. These were manufactured in three sizes, 2¼”/58mm, 3”/76mm and 3½”/88mm. The model shown here is the largest. While not uncommon this particular model certainly is, as it carries two Masonic Decorations. One is the Banner of Concord Lodge and the other is a Commemorative decoration for a Ladies Night held by Worshipful Master J.F. Gradwell, on 15th February 1913. Concord Lodge, Number 3239 was founded in Birmingham in 1907, and is still active today. W.H. Goss items bearing Masonic decorations are always sought after, and make a nice addition to any collection.
