inscription:  Model of ancient black-&-brown cup dug up at the south side of Red Lion Sq., Newcastle, Staffs. in 1882 now in the possession of Messrs. Chapman & Snape.

matching arms:  Newcastle-under-Lyme

notes:  Usually bears two coats of arms, the most commonly found second coat on matching models being probably the arms of Staffordshire.
