Waterlooville Bottle

inscription:  Model of army water bottle used at the battle of Waterloo. Waterlooville. When the troops came back after "Waterloo" their first camp was at this place which thus obtained its name. The original water bottle which is of oak, bound with brass, was left behind by one of the soldiers. Rd. No. 638373

notes:  Registered in 1914 and presumably first produced in the same year because it was illustrated and listed as a new shape in the 8th edition of The Goss Record which was published in 1914.
